I recall somewhere hearing that Craigs Hut had been rebuilt after being destroyed in the Vic fires last Feb.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I would like to take some international visitors up there at the end of August and would like to make sure there's a hut to see.

Thanx

Yes it has been rebuilt with a price tag of $300,000. Sounds expensive, but the amount of people that go there and spend their money in the region it is $3000000 well spent. By now it should have weathered and look like it used to as it was new when I as there about 18 mths ago

I think Craig's Hut burnt down in the fires back in 2003 or 04 and was rebuilt several years ago at the cost of $300K??

I don't think it was caught up in this years fires??

GWB,

I think your buggered at this time of year but if you need some trip notes that take you on easy drive through a number of huts and finish at Mt Buller I've got 'em. It's a very easy day's driving with plenty of stops.

You've got my email address.

Your mate Alan's a top bloke, thanks for the recommendation.

Jimbo.
